Step into the world of the Dene, Metis and Inuvialuit people of the Northwest Territories at a time when people survived solely on the North's resources and when life depended on the ability to hunt, trap and work successfully within strong family units.
This is a visual story of a time when people were "At One With The Earth" captured at the turn of the last century. Dependant on the North's resources and bounty, life was filled with long and cold winters, bright and sun-filled summers, plentiful fish and caribou, fresh water rivers, mountains... a distinct way of life on the tundra and within the
treeline.
Strong oral traditions preserve their heritage. There are many stories
and legends since recorded that capture the heartbeat and history of the Aboriginal people indigenous to the Northwest Territories.
